I had an excellent experience with GL Hunt Foundation Repair. Justin came into my home and looked at the areas I had concerns with and did his own evaluation. Fortunately, there was no major damage going on. He patiently took the time to explain and show me what I should look for going forward. If there is any work I need in the future, I will use this honest company.

They just came out to survey and inspect the issues and have worked up an estimate for repair at this point. Very impressed with Derek and the time he took overall with the inspection, as well as explaining the process required for the recommended repairs. Friday afternoons, most people are doing everything they can to hit to the house as soon as possible. I plan on having a couple more companies come out to do the same. I will definitely take this in to account deciding who to hire.

Brian, provided a through inspection of our homes foundation and did an excellent job explaining the causes of foundation problems. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. In our case we did not need foundation repair, which is a testament to this company’s willingness to evaluate a customer’s home and walk away without trying to sell you something that is not needed. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. We will use them again in the future.

Overall great experience. This is the second time we’ve used the company for foundation repair. The first time was about 8 years ago and the work they did is still holding well. They came out to put in piers on a different part of the house and the experience was even better than the last time. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional and the work was performed quickly and correctly the first time. G.L. Hunt is the best foundation repair company I’ve dealt with, but this experience was one of the best I’ve had with any company. Highly recommend!

Southlake Crawl Spaces Services

What is Southlake Crawl Spaces Service?

Typically, a crawl space service includes sealing the vents, setting up a vapor barrier, and making sure there is enough drainage.

The vapor barrier is the most significant component of a crawl space service. This will prevent moisture from entering your home from the ground.

It’s helpful to think of it as a raincoat for your home. The water is kept out by it!

The majority of individuals are unaware that their homes have subterranean areas. These subterranean chambers serve as locations for HVAC, plumbing, or storage rather than as finished living quarters. Even though they might not be utilized frequently, these areas can serve as havens for mold, mildew, and other dangerous microorganisms. By sealing off the area and keeping moisture from penetrating, a crawl space service may aid in preventing these issues.

The vapor barrier installation is one of the most crucial components of a crawl space service. This barrier will stop moisture from entering your home and rising up from the ground. Without a vapor barrier, moisture and humidity may encourage the growth of mold and mildew, posing a major health risk to you and your family.

Vapor barriers may be thought of as the equivalent of a raincoat for your home. The water is kept out by it! Make sure to inquire about the vapor barrier option if you are thinking about using a crawl space service. It may mean the difference between a home that is clean and one that is contaminated with dangerous microorganisms.

SHOULD I VENT MY CRAWL SPACE?

When determining whether or not to vent your crawl space, there are a few variables to take into account. The climate comes first. Ventilating your crawl space will help keep mold and mildew from growing if you live in a humid climate. However, venting might not be essential if you reside in a dry climate.

The sort of foundation your home has is a further factor to take into account. If your home has a slab foundation, there is no need to vent your crawl area since moisture cannot get in. To avoid moisture and mold issues, you must air a crawl space if it has a dirt floor in your house.

The final decision is whether or not you want to vent your crawl area for energy efficiency. Ventilating your crawl space can help keep your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter if you reside in an area with hot summers and cold winters. However, venting might not have a big impact on your energy costs if you reside in a moderate environment.

The right moment to use Southlake Crawl Spaces services may be determined by a few critical indicators. Call a specialist as soon as you observe any of the following:

– Smells of mold or mustiness emanating from your crawl space

– Water leaks or indications of previous water damage

– Evident mildew or mold development

– Walls or foundational cracks

– Slouching ceilings above the crawl space
You should be aware of a few factors before considering employing crawl space services. Here are some things you should know before employing crawl space services.

Make sure your crawl space is clean and clear of mold and mildew since these toxins may seriously affect your respiratory system. It’s critical to close off any gaps that might let water or vermin into your crawl space once it has been dried out and dehumidified. Your family will be protected and future issues will be helped by closing off these openings.
